Focused Areas of Support
I have a particular focus on providing evidence-informed services including:
-
Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling: With 15+ years experiencing in alcohol and other drug services, I provide evidence-informed support for concerns related to all kinds of drugs including alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis and prescription medication - with a focus on harm minimisation. Our work will include, a thorough understanding of your substance use, identifying triggers, and developing everyday coping strategies.
-
Chronic Pain Management: Using strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help clients navigate persistent pain and flare-ups, moving the focus from "fixing" pain to improving daily function and quality of life.
-
Performance Psychology for Athletes: Combining my 35 years as a triathlete with being a psychologist, I provide dedicated mindset support for endurance athletes (triathletes, runners, and cyclists). We work on mental toughness, managing pre-race nerves, and maintaining focus during high-pressure training and competition blocks.
While based in Peregian Springs, I regularly support clients from surrounding communities including Noosa, Coolum, Maroochydore, and across the Sunshine Coast. For those living outside of these areas, I also see clients across Australia via telehealth.
-
Anxiety and Panic Attacks: Managing overwhelming worry and physical symptoms of stress.
-
Depression and Low Mood: Finding ways forward when feeling stuck or unmotivated.
-
Stress Management: Navigating the pressures of work, financial, and relationship challenges.
-
Sleep Problems & Adjustment: Practical strategies for insomnia and adapting to major life changes.
